Our Mission:
Safe Haven Community Center's mission is to provide positive educational programs and projects to disadvantage youth, adults, and families; to act as a resource community center; and assist individuals in overcoming obstacles that have hindered their success and help them to establish or re-establish their lives both naturally and spiritually.
Safe Haven served over 268 families with various needs through the Finding Me! Home Intervention referral service and the GED program. This number is increasing daily.
Safe Haven has connected families to agencies and churches for help with rent and utilities assistance. Agencies and churches have pledged monetary funds in the amount of over $5,000 to MUD, OPPD and landlords.
Our job search program provides job search assistance including the Internet and transportation.
